This is a great live version of 'Hard Rain' from Robert's tour with his Band of Joy at the Auditorium Theatre, Chicago on the 4th Sep 2011. There are several other takes on this available but I thought this was about the best.

ReplyThis is bloody brilliant! I'm a kind of part-time Planty fan, big on LZ (of course) and his more recent things but I missed this when it came out. Thanks for the excellent find. Love it. Wish Zimmy could sound this vital still.

ReplySB Yes it was a good find, by way found last week an Aztec Camera version of Threw it all away, if you are not aware of it.
ReplyThis is good, especially the first track, I like the vibe. I agree with Sfw, I do like some of the latter day Robert Plant stuff. Band of Joy album was good but I especially love when he does his desert blues stuff, 'Win My Train Fare Home' with Justin Adams from the Festival in the Desert is definitely a track worth pursuing.
