Bob Dylan Dylan Covers Eric Burton The Animals

I gotta get out of this place!

ERIC BURTON - One More Cup of Coffee

Here are two covers by Eric Burton covering Bob, well technically the House of the Rising Sun is not written by Dylan but you all know the connection. So it's Ok!

The first take of  One More Cup of Coffee  was recorded in Germany on the 21st April 1976.  Eric is in full Animals mode. The second is a little more interesting, as I was toying with the idea of going to this concert, at the International Jazz Festival at San Javier on the 22nd July 2011. It is less than an hour away from me here in Spain. I think this is a pretty good interesting rendition. The old voice is still strong. Why and the hell did I not go?

ERIC BURTON,  THE ANIMALS - The House of the Rising Sun

As a added bonus here is a little clip from a 1965 TV programme of, shall we say, a tongue in cheek version of  It Ain't me Babe.  What a classic video, this is showing the original Animals line up too.

DYLAN COVERS #118 Alan Price/Steve Marriott - To Ramona

DYLAN COVERS #118 Alan Price/Steve Marriott - To Ramona

Alan Price Don't Look Back Dylan Covers Humble Pie Steve Marriott The Animals The Faces The Small Faces

Awah! Bonny Lad!

ALAN PRICE - To Ramona (1968)

Here we have 2 stalwarts of the sixties UK scene, both with versions of one of my favourite Dylan tracks To Ramona.

'Yet there's no one to beat you
No one to defeat you
'Cept the thoughts of yourself feeling bad'

First up is Alan Price from the Animals who recorded this version of To Ramona in 1968 and it appeard on his Album A Price on his Head (1968). You can see above Alan and Bob on a clip from Don'Look Back.  I think thery are sharing a bottle of Newcastle Brown Ale.

STEVE MARRIOTT - To Ramona (2010)

Second up is Steve Marriott who was famous for his part in the Small Faces, The Faces and Humble Pie. His take can be found on the album Lend us a Quid (2010). This was apparently a rejected solo album from the seventies.
