DYLAN COVERS # 177 - 5 from 2014

Once upon a time you dressed so fine

High folks, I have done this one pretty quick. I am sure I could have given you more good ones. But I hope you like this little selection of some of my Fav Dylan Covers of 2014. I am sure I have forgotten something, somewhere. Anyway enjoy these and most of all enjoy the Festivities and the ones you Love.

I am back in the UK to spend Xmas with Shellhunter and Flycasual. I will try and continue with Dylan Covers next year.  Well, as long as I enjoy it and keep finding stuff that is not always the obvious. If I like it, I hope you like it. See you next year. Old Pa xx.

DYLAN COVERS #142 Wilko Johnson & Roger Daltrey - Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window x 2

Use your arms and legs it won't ruin you
WILKO JOHNSON AND ROGER DALTREY - Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window (2014)

This is a track from Wilko Johnson and Roger Daltrey's new album Going back Home (2014). I have listened to the album and it is just fabulous. The Band are just so together and Wilko does a Sterling job on Guitar. It is a stonking set of good honest Rock'n Roll.  Roger does a pretty good snarling job on CYPCOYW and it is as good a cover version  as is out there.

For good measure here is a live version of the song recorded at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire 25th Feb 2014. Listen to Roger at the end of the song, he is clearly enjoying himself.

If you have a look you can find the whole concert that some kind fan has shared.

It is great that Wilko is still out there doing what he does best,  despite having Pancreatic Cancer and refusing chemotherapy.  We wish you all the best Wilko old son.

Just keep on rocking forever!

DYLAN COVERS - #116 Wilko Johnson - Please Crawl from Your Window/Highway 61

TUNE DOCTOR FEELGOOD

WILKO JOHNSON - Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window (1980)

Wilko Johnson is probably more famous for his part in the great British Pub Rock Band  Dr Feelgood  but he also had a  long and succsessful solo career too. I was very pleased to find five Dylan Covers by Wilko.

Here is the first of two, it is a take on  Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window  and can be found on the Japanese released LP  Ice on the Motorway (1980). The second is  Highway 61 Revisited  and that one is just tailor made for Mr Johnson. This one can be found on the CD Solid Senders (1978)
WILKO JOHNSON and SOLID SENDERS - Highway 61 Revisited (1978)

More Dr Feelgood and Wilko J covers to follow.
