DYLAN COVERS #142 Wilko Johnson & Roger Daltrey - Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window x 2

Use your arms and legs it won't ruin you
WILKO JOHNSON AND ROGER DALTREY - Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window (2014)

This is a track from Wilko Johnson and Roger Daltrey's new album Going back Home (2014). I have listened to the album and it is just fabulous. The Band are just so together and Wilko does a Sterling job on Guitar. It is a stonking set of good honest Rock'n Roll.  Roger does a pretty good snarling job on CYPCOYW and it is as good a cover version  as is out there.

For good measure here is a live version of the song recorded at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire 25th Feb 2014. Listen to Roger at the end of the song, he is clearly enjoying himself.

If you have a look you can find the whole concert that some kind fan has shared.

It is great that Wilko is still out there doing what he does best,  despite having Pancreatic Cancer and refusing chemotherapy.  We wish you all the best Wilko old son.

Just keep on rocking forever!

Annon - could not agree more...one of my favourites especially some of the boot versions.

I checked out the gig on your recommendation and ended up watching the whole thing - bloody marvelous. Old Wilko's a bit of a Bob fan isn't he? The Wilko Johnson & Lew Lewis Band covered 'I Wanna Be Your Lover' on the 1983 EP 'Bottle Up & Go'. Great version, worth looking out for.

How did I miss this? I saw the concert on YouTube - bloody marvellous and not a little moving. Wilko and Roger were made for each other. This isn't an easy song to put across but they make the perfect job of it. God bless Wilko!
