GIVE ME A GUITAR!! Rage against the Machine - Sleep now in the fire

Rage against the machine - Sleep now in the fire (2000)
Grrrrr....rawk! Ever drop a hammer on your toe? ever wanted to tell your boss where to stick their job? Or have you ever got yourself into a uncontrollable rage that even Dr David Banner would say "Relax, pal" - nah, me neither.  But, if you ever do, use this riff-tastic, "rock"-et fuel to power your Supercar of anger..

It features on the "The Battle of Los Angeles" album is just classic R.A.T.M., the riffs, driving bass, the politcal lyrics about greed (the video is directed by Michael Moore), all make it one to listen to when driving, or skinning critters but not one for when the in-laws are round or during "special time" with the misses.  If you haven't heard it before, you've missed a 'rock' treat!

F**king great song from one of my fave bands. I remember when this album came out! I was well into my "metal" phase with baggy jeans and dog collar, and I made a cd complilation of my favourite rock/metal tracks. My bro tried to discipline me on cd "mix tape" etiquette as I had 4 RATM songs on it(not consecutively of course) including this one. I pretty much said screw the etiquette, they rrrrrock!

Love this song, love the album, love the band. I remember buying Killing In The Name (first time round) on 12 inch limited edition White vinyl. I was on holiday on Kos during the time of Euro 96 and found a bar that played indie and metal tunes. After a few days I brought in my latest compilation tape which they put on. At the moment when the naughty word started they turned the volume up loud and we all sat there singing along. Ah the memories

LOVE this song and had forgotten how brilliant the video was! RATM always reminds me of Ofsted inspections. I listened to them every morning on the way into work during the last inspection and found it put me in a suitably irreverent mood for the rest of the day!

They scrub up well. A bit naughty because they were not allowed to play on Wall Street. RAWK!
