Coldplay - 'The Scientist'

Musical Medicine...a track that's like a doner kebab for the soul!

(but without the next day regret)

OMG this mattress is filthy

Coldplay - 'The Scientist' (2002)

One song that is a guarantee to get the hairs on the back of my neck standing to attention is this 5 minute masterpiece which I can't believe was released as far back as 2002. It will probably always be my favourite Coldplay track.
Whenever I hear the song and start singing along I always change one word in the lyrics as an homage to my favourite board game ever, Trivial Pursuit (a game that I have still never lost, although once did find myself in a losing position against Mrs Flycasual, but the game was never finished)

The line I change is :-
'I was just guessing at numbers and figures
Pulling your puzzles apart
Questions of science, science and progress nature
Do not speak as loud as my heart'

I have beaten you on more than one occasion!! You could say that Coldplay have an ear for a tune.

Back when it was still cool to like Coldplay! Love this song and I also can't help saying science and nature, seems to fit better! I hate trivial pursuit because I'm so crap!

OP won over the New Year...it was an agreed decision....no more unbeaten record....Old Pa wins! You can't deny the quality of this track....
