DYLAN COVERS #110 Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Subterranean Homesick Blues x 3

'Better stay away from those!'

RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS - Subterranean Homesick Blues(1987)

Here are three versions of Subterranean Homesick Blues by the one and only Red Hot Chilli Peppers. The first one is from their album The Uplift Mofo Party Plan (1987). The second is a Demo version from the Uplift sessions and is a bit slower and not quite as good.

The last version is taken from an DVD called Live of the Map (2001). It is a document of their 2000 tour of North America.

I had a big RHCP period around the Blood Sugar Sex Magik time, late 80s/early 90s and remember this version well. They did a good job with Stevie Wonder's 'Higher Ground' as I recall.

I was a huge RHCP fan around the time of 'Mothers Milk' & 'Blood Sugar...', they were such trailblazers in the "alternative" genre. I think I'll revisit them again! Thanks Old Pa for the nudge

I was quite into the Chillis when they had this album out and I remember this well. I actually quite like the alt take on it too, it oozes more funk.
