The Beloved - 'Sweet Harmony' (1993)
1993 was such a significant year for me as it was the year we moved to the UK from Saudi Arabia and I seem to remember so much music from the time. There were a good few bands that were always on in the background and The Beloved was one of them.

It wasn't until a senior colleague offered to give me a lift to the minion's car park from work that I heard this again in 2010. He has an eclecic taste and happened to be listening to the album Conscience at the time. I only knew this song subliminally but it was one of those that came out of nowhere! It became my instant favourite song of the year and I probably bored everyone to death playing over and over! It never fails to get a rise out of me and is the perfect song to get ready to for a night out like tonight for me. Time to dust off those dancing shoes!

Tulis commentsI haven't heard this in years. I remember liking it at that time. I'd forgotten about the Hendrix album cover inspired video, but it still has a great melody - think it could be remixed/re-released...and oh there's a sax solo!
ReplyGreat sax solo at that! Luckily, with the release of all the "Abosolute" digital radio stations, I get to hear it frequently on Absolute 90's!
