I had heard about this phenomenon in days of yore, before interrupted sleeps and inconvenient toilet breaks but I never once thought I'd be almost broken by the barrage of 'whys'.
"Don't wave that fork near your face?"
"Why?"
"Because you'll hurt yourself!"
"Why?"
"Because I don't want you to take your eyes out!!"
"Why?"
Add any everyday event and you get the idea!
And It was after one of these all too familiar exchanges that I noticed my son had gone unusually quiet. Concerned, I turned to see him staring out and in a trance like state.
"hey, what's the matter?" I asked
"oh nothing daddy, I like this song, it has a nice rumble."
"I like the song too Max, it's really good. The lady's voice is a bit saucy!"
"why is she saucy daddy?"

Lovesick is a fine track which has managed to seduce both father and son and is taken from the equally enjoyable album, 'Real Life is no Cool', full of 80's infused spicy dance grooves. I can't thank my pals Jon and Kate (click on the names to see some of their guest spots) enough for recommending this to me. Incidentally Jon's brother, Chris mastered the sound on the album, so whether he has discovered a toddler taming frequency or it's Christabelle's sultry vocals, either way it's a fantastic song.
