It is with great sadness I learned today that the great Scottish singer-song writer Jackie Leven, passed away at the age of 61. He succumed to the dreaded cancer.
This was the first song I heard by Jackie and it blew me away. I was a big fan ever since. Check out the Argyll Cycle Vol 1 and Forbidden Songs of the Dying West, two truly great albums. There are lots more where that came from. He should have been massive.
Jackie you will be missed big time. R.I.P.

Tulis commentsMr. Leven was one of those artists I always meant to explore and never got around to. I remember Doll By Doll. He always seemed like quite a brooding figure. Listening to this and some other bits and pieces I've seen posted today it seems I should have checked him out before. RIP, Jackie.
