with both her hands
her face was pale
with a hint of pink on her cheeks
a single tear trickled down
she was usually so strong
always in control

she released her grip
i turned around
there was no pleasure
in my control
no pleasure at all
i did not look behind
i kept on walking
there was no magnetic pull
dragging me back
nothing
i was free
free from the prison
that was her
