The Lake Poets - With Me

TUESDAY BLUES

Do you like Singer/Songwriters, or do you have a unhealthy affection to the sadness, if so you may have a case of the Tuesday Blues!

The Lake Poets -
With Me (2013)

Named after the 19th Century English English poets, Sunderland’s, The Lake Poets primarily consist of singer/songwriter, Martin Longstaff.  This indie folk band resemble, Simon & Garfunkel and particularly The Villagers.   I discovered them through Soundcloud and have been very impressed.

With Me, Lyrically reminds me of songs I’d write when I was in my teens (not in a bad way!). You always remember the girl who ‘got away’ because you were never noticed by her (usually because they'd go for the older guy).

However, I have to say, the line “I would give you what’s mine….i’d tear out my eyes, if you’d fall in love with me” is a little drastic! :-)

You can download the MP3 through their soundcloud page
