Gil Scott-Heron, the Soul and Jazz legend, passed away in New York last night after coming back off a European tour. People would say he was one of the forefathers of Hip-Hop and Rap and greatly influenced many artists who would sample his music and quote his poetry. He was probably most famous for his classic 'The Revolution Will Not Be Televised', a track which would have no doubt influenced the likes of Chuck D of Public Enemy.
'Me and the Devil' was one of my favourite tracks of last year and is taken from the excellent 2010's 'I'm New Here' album.
